Why Small Groups Matter

PREVENTION magazine has published several articles about loneliness: 

“Lacking a social connection is considered more dangerous than smoking 15 cigarettes a day and deadlier than obesity. Thus it makes sense how feeling alone can translate into physical ailments. Humans are social creatures, which doesn’t mean we simply enjoy being social; it means we need to be. It’s how we survive—together, in groups, finding strength in numbers even if, unlike our ancestors, we wouldn’t literally starve to death if we didn’t have a go-to crew.”

At our church, life in a small group means loving and being loved, knowing and being known. Shared stories, laughter, and showing up for each other through ordinary and hard moments — it's community where normal life happens, where no one gets lost or left behind.

Our small groups are back together this September, diving into The Chosen, Season 2. If you've been following Jesus and his disciples through this beautifully told story, you already know it doesn't disappoint.
